Transition Towards a Strategic Board
The consultancy concerned a governance effectiveness review of the international Board of Trustees of a UK-based global voluntary standard setting organisation within the food sector. The assignment included consideration of Board composition and membership and how this needed to evolve, and how to ensure optimal alignment with other governance bodies and committees serving the Board. A powerful outcome was the Board's agreement to transition towards a nimbler Strategic Board with more focus on strategy and fiduciary duties and less on the operational aspects of the organisation.
